Recreation
Relax
Many of us have such busy lives … feel free to relax and take a rest here! Pull up an Adirondack chair for reading a book or watching activities on the lake. Blue Mountain Lake is known for its clear, clean waters making it perfect for a refreshing swim. On a nice night, you are sure to see an amazing sunset.
Canoeing, Kayaking & Paddleboards
Bring your kayaks and paddleboards. There are islands and places to explore on the Lake. All boats entering Blue Mountain Lake must be free of any plant or aquatic life. Rentals are also available from the boat livery.
Water Sports & Sailing
If you like tubing or skiing visit the boat livery for motor or pontoon boat rentals. If motors aren’t your thing, how about a sailboat?
Rock Island Jumping
Take a canoe to Rock Island if you're feeling adventurous!
Hiking
There are miles of hiking trails in the immediate area. Climb Blue Mountain or Castle Rock for a view of Blue Mountain Lake and the Eckford chain of lakes. In the office, we have a list of mountain and pond hikes that you may enjoy.
Fishing
The beautiful waters of Blue have many species of fish. We know for a fact that some large fish like to hang out around the old steamboat dock pilings right in our waters. Bring your NY fishing license.
Campfires
Enjoy a campfire lakeside. On a calm, clear night a campfire is the place to share your stories from the day. You may even see some shooting stars.
Music
Do you play an instrument or enjoy listening to music? Just ask us about your open invitation to share music with our guests. The stage is always set. A guitar by a campfire is always fun too!
